Applecross is a remote Highland village on the shores of spectacular
Wester Ross. The estate covers most of the Applecross peninsula
providing a range of scenery to enjoy and a variety of activities to
pursue.
The holiday accommodation is detailed in the accompanying pages but
Clachan, Bramble, Faoilinn and the Jam Factory offer comfortable, high
quality self-catering holiday accommodation in well equipped traditional
properties at the heart of Applecross Estate, close to Applecross
village.
Access to Applecross is by the spectacular Bealach na Ba road or,
alternatively, by the north coast road close to the sea with stunning
views across to Skye and Raasay.
Scenery includes magnificent hills, wide moorland vistas, extensive woodland and miles of coastal sands, shingle and rock.
Wildlife is abundant featuring birds, red deer and smaller mammals as
well as coastal and marine species. Activities on and around the estate
are varied, there are choices of eating places, a shop and post office, a
petrol station plus a network of walks and footpaths ranging from a
gentle hour’s stroll along the river to a day across the hills in hiking
boots.
